Tower Cold Chain Expands Global Reach Following Acquisition by Cold Chain Technologies

  • Tower Cold Chain, now part of Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), has expanded its global footprint with 54 regional hubs across 26 countries.
  • The acquisition boosts logistics efficiency, sustainability, and regional support for pharmaceutical and life sciences shipments.

Tower Cold Chain, a provider of passive temperature-controlled containers, has solidified its global position following its acquisition by Cold Chain Technologies (CCT). This strategic move enhances both companies’ capabilities, expanding their reach and offering a comprehensive suite of solutions for pharmaceutical and life sciences shipments worldwide.

The combined network features 54 regional hubs, including three Centres of Excellence, spanning 26 countries. Customers benefit from improved logistics efficiency, faster delivery times, and streamlined return processes. This expanded infrastructure also aligns with the companies’ sustainability objectives, reducing idle time and transport distances for reusable containers.

Recent developments include the launch of new hubs in Toronto, Canada, and Hyderabad, India, strengthening Tower Cold Chain’s presence across the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions. The acquisition further bolsters Tower’s reach in South America and parts of APAC, leveraging CCT’s robust infrastructure.

Niall Balfour, CEO of Tower Cold Chain, expressed optimism about the acquisition, stating:
“We are delighted to provide our customers with greater availability and proximity of our expanded range of products and services through our strengthened global hub network. This development not only enhances our reach but also reinforces our commitment to delivering high-performance, temperature-controlled solutions with both global scalability and local expertise.”
