INCOG BioPharma to Enhance CDMO Services with Major Investment

  • INCOG BioPharma announces new investment to expand manufacturing capabilities.
  • The expansion will create over 100 high-paying jobs and enhance CDMO services.

INCOG BioPharma Services, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in sterile injectable biopharmaceuticals, is set to expand its manufacturing capabilities. The company will construct a second 100,000-square-foot building on its campus, starting in August. This expansion aims to increase commercial-scale device assembly capacity, including autoinjectors, pens, wearable injectors, and syringe accessorizing, along with new labeling and final packaging capabilities.

The new facility will enable INCOG to provide end-to-end solutions from filling to device assembly and final packaging, streamlining the process for global biopharma customers. “Our customers will have access to a suite of solutions from filling through final packaging,” said Cory Lewis, CEO and Founder of INCOG. He emphasized the importance of supply chain integration in accelerating drug products to commercial launch, especially in today’s constrained markets.

The expansion will create over 100 additional high-paying jobs, reinforcing Fishers and Indiana as leaders in biopharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing. The Indiana Economic Development Corporation highlighted that the state is the largest exporter of pharmaceutical products in the continental United States. In 2023, Indiana’s Life Science sector had over 3,000 companies, employing 67,000 people, and contributing $95 billion to the state’s economy.

Cory Lewis expressed pride in contributing to Fishers’ social and economic growth by creating new jobs and fostering a vibrant life science community. Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness remarked, “This expansion reinforces Fishers as a leading hub for life sciences and biopharma manufacturing.”

This project follows ongoing work to commission and install a second high-speed syringe and cartridge filling line, with automated visual inspection equipment. These enhancements will bring the site’s filling capacity to 140 million units per year and meet the growing demand for pre-filled syringes and autoinjector delivery mechanisms by Q2 2025.
