Almac Group Opens £65M Commercial Manufacturing Facility in Craigavon

• Almac Group has opened a new £65 million, 100,000sq ft commercial manufacturing facility at its global headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

• The facility enhances Almac Pharma Services’ capabilities in oral dose manufacturing, including potent and highly potent drug products, with GMP batch production starting on 18th March.

Almac Group has officially opened a £65 million commercial manufacturing facility for Almac Pharma Services at its global headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland. The 100,000sq ft site is designed to enhance the company’s capabilities in manufacturing oral dose treatments across various therapeutic areas.

The facility features state-of-the-art production suites managed by Almac Pharma Services’ scientific and operational teams. It includes the latest pharmaceutical manufacturing technology and an extension of production scales for potent and highly potent drug products. The site also offers opportunities for partner companies to integrate custom or dedicated technology to align with their pipeline needs.

Following the completion of construction in late 2024, the facility has undergone validation activities. It is now set to commence GMP batch production on 18th March in a regulatory-approved environment.
