WuXi XDC Cayman Inc. (WuXi XDC) has entered an out-licensing collaboration with Ona Therapeutics to develop an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) candidate using WuXi XDC’s proprietary WuXiTecan-2 payload-linker technology. The agreement grants Ona Therapeutics an exclusive global license to the technology for development of an ADC candidate against a single target.
Under the agreement, Ona Therapeutics will combine its target discovery capabilities with the WuXiTecan-2 platform. The deal includes an upfront payment and potential development, regulatory and sales milestone payments. WuXi XDC will also be eligible for tiered royalties on net sales if the resulting ADC product is commercialized.
WuXi XDC will provide chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) development and manufacturing support through its integrated ADC CRDMO platform. The collaboration marks the second partnership between the two companies in the ADC field, following a 2024 collaboration under which Ona Therapeutics licensed technologies to support its ADC pipeline.
WuXi XDC said the collaboration builds on the companies’ existing relationship and combines Ona Therapeutics’ target discovery capabilities with its ADC technology platforms. The companies are working to advance the ADC candidate toward clinical development for treatment-resistant cancers.
