Argonaut Manufacturing Services and Akoya Biosciences have announced a strengthened partnership, with Argonaut taking on the role of manufacturing partner for Akoya’s in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays currently under development. This collaboration builds upon years of successful teamwork and highlights Argonaut’s ability to support both emerging and established diagnostic product lines.
Wayne Woodard, Founder and CEO of Argonaut, expressed pride in the deep-rooted relationship with Akoya, saying, “We’ve successfully supported their Research Use Only (RUO) portfolio, and we are thrilled to extend this partnership into the highly regulated companion diagnostic space.”
The expanded collaboration aims to support the growing demand for precision medicine. Akoya’s spatial phenotyping technology, including its PhenoImager platform, is designed to enhance diagnostic capabilities in patient selection. Brian McKelligon, CEO of Akoya, added that the partnership with Argonaut will ensure the high-quality manufacture of IVD products under stringent cGMP and ISO 13485:2016 standards.
