- Ensera has formed a strategic alliance with Florida-based CDMO American Injectables to provide pharmaceutical companies with an integrated route from sterile injectable fill-finish through device assembly, secondary packaging and serialization.
- The companies operate manufacturing facilities in Central Florida that support small- to medium-scale production and are located just miles apart.
Ensera has entered into a strategic alliance with American Injectables, a Florida-based CDMO specializing in the fill-finish of sterile injectable drugs. The partnership is designed to provide pharmaceutical companies targeting the North American market with an integrated pathway covering aseptic fill-finish, final device assembly, secondary packaging and serialization.
The companies’ manufacturing facilities are located just miles apart in Central Florida. Both facilities are designed to support small- to medium-scale production. The combined offering is intended to provide an end-to-end manufacturing solution for injectable drug therapies, bringing together American Injectables’ sterile injectable fill-finish capabilities with Ensera’s pharmaceutical manufacturing, device assembly and packaging services.
Ensera, formerly SteriPack, completed an upgrade to its Florida site in April 2025. The expansion increased its pharmaceutical services for drug-device manufacturing, final assembly and secondary packaging of combination products. American Injectables has also completed an expansion of its FDA-registered and inspected facility, adding filling capacity.
“This alliance reflects a strong alignment not only in technical capabilities but also in mindset. The companies’ capabilities are intended to support pharmaceutical innovators in bringing therapies to market with speed and scalability.”
Bobby O’Connor, chief commercial officer at Ensera
The alliance comes as pharmaceutical companies seek to regionalize supply chains and increase resilience in the delivery of essential medicines. Ensera said the Florida locations provide a geographic advantage for companies targeting the U.S. market. The partnership follows Ensera’s recent alliance with fill-finish CDMO Argonaut and its assembly partnerships with Ypsomed, SHL Medical and BD.
