Gannet BioChem has entered into a development partnership with Serina Therapeutics to support the advancement of SER-252, an investigational therapy for advanced Parkinson’s disease. The collaboration follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s clearance of the investigational new drug (IND) application for SER-252, allowing the program to progress into clinical development.

Under the agreement, Gannet BioChem will provide CDMO and contract manufacturing support through process development, scale-up, and manufacturing activities for the program. The collaboration combines Serina Therapeutics’ proprietary POZ Platform™ technology with Gannet BioChem’s expertise in supporting complex therapeutic development programs.

According to the companies, the partnership is intended to support the continued development of SER-252 while helping advance Serina’s broader pipeline of polymer-based therapeutics. Gannet BioChem said the agreement also expands its portfolio of development programs supporting biopharmaceutical companies from early-stage development through commercialization.

“We are excited to partner with Serina Therapeutics as they continue advancing SER-252. Innovative therapies require experienced development partners capable of supporting programs through critical stages of growth, and we look forward to contributing our technical expertise to help support the continued progress of this program.”
