Gilero, a medical device design and contract manufacturing company under the Sanner Group, is set to expand its manufacturing footprint with a new 60,500-square-foot facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. The new site, equipped with Class 7 and 8 clean rooms, will specialise in producing components for medical devices and pharmaceutical packaging, including desiccant solutions essential for moisture-sensitive drugs.
This Greensboro facility, slated to start production in the second quarter of 2025, will feature injection molding and desiccant filling machines, along with quality control labs and humidity-controlled production zones. The investment reflects Gilero’s commitment to meeting growing market demand in the North American region.
“The launch of our Greensboro facility marks an exciting milestone for Gilero as we continue to expand our capabilities to support our clients’ evolving needs,” said Ted Mosler, President of Sanner US. “With this facility, we will be able to provide even greater value to our clients through faster production timelines, enhanced quality control, and increased flexibility.”
With the new facility, Sanner will be able to directly serve its North American clients in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors, supplying critical desiccant packaging solutions from within the United States. The site will complement Gilero’s existing design centers and manufacturing sites across North America, providing integrated solutions for healthcare packaging.
