Kindeva, through its global health security division, Meridian Medical Technologies, LLC, has been awarded a $226 million contract to supply Antidote Treatment Nerve Agent Autoinjectors (ATNAA) to Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) customers. The contract provides for the potential delivery of more than 3 million units to support U.S. military personnel against potential chemical threats.
Kindeva will manufacture the autoinjectors at its St. Louis, Missouri, campus. The DLA oversees the procurement and distribution of critical resources for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and other federal agencies. Under the contract, the agency will support the safe manufacture and delivery of ATNAA.
Kindeva also manufactures DuoDote®, the civilian version of ATNAA, which is supplied to other U.S. government agencies, first responders, and more than 30 allied nations in preparation for domestic and international mass casualty events. According to the company, ATNAA and DuoDote are the only FDA-approved dual-chamber autoinjectors for nerve agent antidotes designed to administer atropine and pralidoxime chloride to treat poisoning caused by organophosphorus nerve agents and insecticides.
“The contract builds on the company’s work supporting the U.S. government in addressing evolving global security threats. He also highlighted the company’s fill-finish expertise and production of medical countermeasures.”
David Stevens, CEO of Kindeva
Tara Butler, director of government contracts for global health security, said the agreement followed more than a year of collaboration and communication with the DLA and would allow Kindeva to continue supporting the warfighter as the sole source of this medical countermeasure.
Kindeva’s St. Louis campus is part of a regional network serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology customers. The company’s newest facility in Bridgeton specializes in fill-finish production and was recognized as a finalist for the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering’s “Facility of the Future” award in 2025.
