Pace Life Sciences Expands with Catalent’s Small Molecule Analytical Services Acquisition

  • Pace Life Sciences acquires Catalent’s small molecule analytical services business, expanding its U.S. network.

Pace Life Sciences, LLC, a contract development, and manufacturing organization (CDMO) has announced its acquisition of Catalent’s Center of Excellence for Small Molecule Analytical Services located in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina. The acquisition is part of Pace’s ongoing effort to strengthen its contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) capabilities, particularly in supporting early-stage drug research and development through to commercialisation.

The acquisition allows Pace to expand its national network of testing services, bringing the total number of sites to nine across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. This network now offers analytical services for both small and large molecules, along with formulation development and early-stage drug manufacturing. Eric Roman, CEO of Pace, commented: “This acquisition enhances and strengthens our ability to partner with our clients throughout early-stage drug research and development to commercialisation as a full-service analytical outsourcing provider.”

The acquired business will continue to support biopharma clients in developing life-changing medicines. Dawn Von Rohr, President of Pace Life Sciences, added: “We are able to provide faster, more flexible, and more reliable solutions for our clients, which is a key accelerator for delivering high-quality laboratory services.”
