SK pharmteco has embarked on a key sustainability initiative by pursuing My Green Lab Certification, a globally recognized standard for laboratory sustainability. The company completed its baseline assessment in late 2024 and is targeting its first certification milestone by mid-2025, with an ultimate goal of reaching the highest certification level by 2030.

My Green Lab Certification, acknowledged by the United Nations Race to Zero campaign, provides a structured framework to enhance environmental sustainability in laboratory environments. The certification process encourages scientists and support teams to adopt best practices that reduce resource consumption and promote efficiency, aligning with SK pharmteco’s commitment to responsible operations.

Certification timelines vary based on implementation progress, with most labs achieving certification within six to nine months of their baseline assessment. The program also supplements ISO 14001 standards by addressing sustainability challenges specific to laboratory operations. SK pharmteco’s pursuit of this certification underscores its long-term commitment to reducing environmental impact and advancing sustainable practices in the CDMO sector.
