AKEURA Launches as Specialist CRO Combining Clinical Development and Real-World Evidence After P95 and Julius Clinical Integration

COMPANY PROFILE
  • P95 Julius Clinical has become AKEURA, a global specialist CRO with dual expertise in clinical development and real-world evidence (RWE). The new name completes the integration that followed the 2025 merger of P95 and Julius Clinical.
  • AKEURA focuses exclusively on neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiometabolic diseases. It has more than 500 experts across five continents and has delivered more than 1,000 studies, including over 600 clinical studies and 400 RWE projects, in more than 75 countries.

AKEURA, formerly P95 Julius Clinical, launched on November 2, 2026, as a global specialist CRO with dual expertise in clinical and real-world settings. The new brand stems from the integration that followed the 2025 merger of P95 and Julius Clinical. AKEURA is headquartered in Zeist, the Netherlands, and is backed by Ampersand Capital Partners.

AKEURA supports sponsors across all phases of clinical development and RWE, from early through late phase. Its focus is exclusive to three therapeutic areas: neuroscience, infectious diseases and vaccines, and cardiometabolic diseases. The company said it matches specialists to what each study requires, and that the senior experts who shape the plan stay hands-on as the work unfolds.

The company reports more than 25 years of experience and more than 500 researchers, clinicians, and scientists across five continents. Together they have delivered more than 1,000 studies in more than 75 countries. That includes over 600 clinical studies and 400 RWE projects. For sponsors, the stated proposition is access to specialists on both sides of the evidence question, in one company, rather than separate clinical and RWE providers.

AKEURA tied the timing of the launch to regulatory trends. The company said regulators increasingly turn to real-world data to inform decisions across the product lifecycle. It added that this makes the need to integrate clinical development and real-world expertise from the outset greater than ever. AKEURA will present its new brand at the CNS Summit in Boston this week.

“Every study comes down to thousands of decisions, and getting them right means arming the people making them with the information and technology they need.”
