Evestia Clinical, a leading independent global specialist CRO, announced on November 3, 2026, from London, that it has acquired Emtex Life Science, a specialist regulatory medical writing company headquartered in Belgium. The acquisition strengthens Evestia’s presence across Europe and enhances its global, full-service clinical research solutions for biotech innovators and pharmaceutical companies. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Emtex was founded in 2001 and has more than 25 years of experience in regulatory medical writing, clinical documentation, scientific publications, and medical communications. Its services include clinical study reports, clinical trial protocols, investigator brochures, regulatory documentation, and scientific communications. It also offers research and insights and professional training. Evestia already offered medical writing as part of its wider service range. The acquisition significantly expands the depth and scale of that capability.

For sponsors, medical writing can be accessed as a dedicated service or integrated with Evestia’s wider regulatory, medical, and clinical development capabilities. Those capabilities span oncology, neurology and neurodegenerative diseases, and rare diseases. Evestia’s full service suite includes project management, site management, regulatory services, clinical monitoring, data management and biostatistics, medical affairs, quality assurance, pharmacovigilance, and Functional Service Provider solutions.

Emtex will integrate with Evestia’s operations with no change to its services or teams. De Witte and Notenbaert will continue to manage the Emtex business. Evestia said the deal aligns with its strategy of building a market-leading, global, and independent specialist CRO through targeted acquisitions.

“The acquisition of Emtex aligns with our strategy to build a market-leading, global and independent specialist CRO through targeted acquisitions that deepen our expertise and enhance the services we offer biotech innovators. Emtex’s established expertise in regulatory medical writing and scientific communications complements and further enhances our existing capabilities and expands the bespoke support we can offer clients worldwide.”
