Primopus is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) located in the Basel area, specialising in the scale-up and commercial supply of complex reactive starting materials (RSMs), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) intermediates, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). The production plant was formerly owned by a large pharmaceutical company and has an extensive history of API manufacture for regulated markets. Currently, Primopus is upgrading its facilities and adding a pilot plant, R&D laboratories, and advanced automation, with a start-up planned for Q1 2024, focusing on a range of complex RSMs for a rapidly expanding pharma modality. Additionally, a new pilot plant was successfully launched in 2023. Through its partnership with Deccan Fine Chemicals in India, Primopus provides secure, backward-integrated supply chain options for various building blocks and complex fine chemicals.
