- Vetter has received an EcoVadis Platinum rating for 2025, marking its fourth consecutive year of recognition and placing it in the top 1% of rated companies globally.
- The CDMO’s greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been formally validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, including a 58.8% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2034.

Vetter, a contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO), has earned an EcoVadis Platinum rating and secured validation of its emissions reduction targets from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The two recognitions underline the company’s stated commitment to climate protection and responsible business practices.
The EcoVadis Platinum rating for 2025 marks the fourth consecutive year that Vetter has achieved the highest level of recognition in the sustainability assessment. According to the announcement, this places the company among the top 1% of all organisations assessed globally by EcoVadis.
In parallel, the SBTi has formally validated Vetter’s emissions reduction targets. The CDMO aims to cut absolute greenhouse gas emissions from Scope 1 and 2 by 58.8% by 2034, using 2021 as the baseline year. These targets are aligned with the Paris Agreement and are described as meeting one of the most stringent global standards for corporate climate action.
Vetter stated that the planned reductions will be delivered through a combination of measures, including technical modernisation of facilities and equipment, use of energy recovery such as waste heat, and a shift to lower-carbon energy sources. This includes replacing natural gas with biomethane.
“We are proud of the various steps we are taking to reduce our company’s carbon footprint. Both the validation by the SBTi and the Platinum rating from EcoVadis emphasize our strategic commitment to both people and planet and bring us one step closer to effective climate protection and to achieving overall sustainability goals.”
