- Olon is expanding its ADC platform at its Saint-Julien, France site and strengthening connections with its Rodano, Italy site to provide integrated capabilities for ADC development and commercial manufacturing.
- Olon has also completed an expansion at its Concord, Ohio site that doubles production capacity and adds commercial-scale manufacturing capabilities.
Olon is expanding its ADC platform at its Saint-Julien, France site while strengthening links with its Rodano, Italy facility. The CDMO is adding a dedicated Bio-development Unit for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) and ADCs, new research and process development laboratories, and increased bioconjugation and manufacturing capacity to support customers from development through commercial manufacturing.
The Saint-Julien expansion will support process optimization, scale-up and commercial manufacturing. Rodano will provide complementary expertise in highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPIs) and payloads, with handling capabilities up to OEB 6. Together, the sites will provide connected capabilities for the development and manufacture of complex ADCs.
Olon plans to open a new development center combining ADC and mammalian cell development by the end of 2026. Further investments to expand ADC manufacturing capacity are expected to be completed in early 2027. The company said these investments will create a scalable platform supporting both development and commercial production.
Separately, Olon has completed an expansion of its Concord, Ohio site, which focuses on chemical manufacturing. The expansion doubles the site’s production capacity and adds commercial-scale manufacturing to its existing chemical synthesis, process development and early-stage production capabilities. Recent FDA inspections at the site were completed with no observations, and the facility is operational with customer projects already underway.
“Customers developing ADCs need more than individual capabilities. They need a partner that can connect them as a programme progresses. By expanding Saint-Julien and linking its biologics and bioconjugation expertise with Rodano’s work on HPAPIs and payloads, we can offer greater continuity from development into manufacturing.”
