- Almac Group opens new GMP-qualified stability chambers and office space in Souderton.
- $2 million investment adds 3,200 ft² to support global analytical services.
Almac Group has officially opened new GMP-qualified analytical stability chambers and office space at its US headquarters in Souderton, Pennsylvania, following a $2 million investment.
The facility adds 1,600 ft² of dedicated stability chamber space and a further 1,600 ft² of modern office and laboratory accommodation. The chambers are GMP-qualified and feature alarmed, redundant systems and utilities. They support a full range of standard ICH and customised stability conditions, including -20°C, 5°C, 25°C/60%RH, 30°C/65%RH, 30°C/75%RH, and 40°C/75%RH.
This expansion enhances the company’s ability to support global stability programmes and increases operational flexibility across its US and European locations. As part of the ongoing growth, Almac Group anticipates an increase in headcount at the Souderton site to meet expanded service demand.
Dr Stephen Barr, Managing Director & President of Almac Sciences, said: “Client demand for stability services is growing, and this investment is a direct response to that need.”
The development complements Almac’s broader analytical services offering, which includes over 700 analysts across five GMP-approved sites in the UK, Ireland, and the US. These services span from early development through to commercial release, reinforcing Almac’s role in the CDMO and contract manufacturing space.
