The company said the platform uses enterprise data to accelerate analysis, root cause identification, and corrective and preventive action development, while improving consistency and speed. Qai is the first enterprise AI solution launched by Catalent and forms part of the company’s broader effort to implement advanced technologies across its operations.
The AI-enabled platform is designed to strengthen quality management activities, including the management of deviations and complaints. According to Catalent, Qai integrates AI-driven insights into existing quality workflows to enable faster and more consistent decision-making. The company said the tool also supports compliance by improving reporting quality, reducing documentation delays and helping teams focus on operational activities.
Qai was developed with support from Microsoft using Microsoft AI technologies powered by Azure, including Foundry, with supporting data and analytics capabilities from Fabric. Catalent stated that the platform improves root cause analysis to help reduce repeat deviations and accelerates the development of corrective and preventive actions.
