COMPANY PROFILE
  • Dark Horse Consulting Group and Altruist Biologics have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a strategic collaboration supporting the development and commercialization of biologic therapies.

Dark Horse Consulting Group (DHCG) and Altruist Biologics have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to establish a strategic collaboration focused on accelerating the development and global commercialization of biologic therapies. The partnership brings together DHCG’s consulting capabilities and Altruist’s contract development and manufacturing infrastructure to support biopharmaceutical companies seeking clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing solutions.

Under the agreement, DHCG will contribute expertise in regulatory affairs, chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC), nonclinical and clinical development, quality and compliance, supply chain management, commercial launch planning, and business analytics. Altruist Biologics, a CDMO and wholly owned subsidiary of Innovent Biologics, will provide end-to-end manufacturing services including cell line development, process and analytical development, formulation development, drug substance and drug product manufacturing, and bioconjugation services for modalities such as antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

The companies said the collaboration is intended to help international biopharmaceutical developers access China’s biologics manufacturing ecosystem while navigating regulatory, quality, and CMC requirements. Altruist operates cGMP facilities in Suzhou and Hangzhou with a combined manufacturing capacity of 232,000 liters, including four 20,000-liter bioreactors at its Hangzhou facility.

“This MOU with Altruist Biologics represents an exciting expansion of DHCG’s partner network in China, and an important new pathway for our clients developing monoclonal antibodies, bispecifics, ADCs, and other biologic modalities.”

Anthony Davies, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dark Horse Consulting Group

According to the companies, the collaboration aims to align manufacturing execution with global regulatory expectations through an integrated framework that combines consulting services and contract manufacturing capabilities. The partnership is intended to provide sponsors with a streamlined pathway from development planning through cGMP manufacturing and commercialization.
