Piramal Pharma Solutions has announced the completion of its 1,500th antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) batch at its bioconjugate development and manufacturing facility in Grangemouth, UK. The milestone batch was a commercial oncology ADC, marking continued activity at the site across clinical, commercial, and non-GMP production.
The company, a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) and part of Piramal Pharma Ltd., provides integrated ADC services ranging from early-stage studies to clinical and commercial-scale manufacturing. Its Grangemouth facility supports these activities and forms part of the company’s ADCelerate™ programme, which focuses on phase I ADC development.
According to the company, the site has developed hundreds of bioconjugates and now produced 1,500 ADC batches. The facility operates with support from programme management, technical, and quality teams, enabling technology transfers and progression from research and development to GMP production.
Piramal Pharma Solutions stated that the Grangemouth site holds regulatory accreditations from the US FDA and the MHRA. These approvals support its role in delivering ADC manufacturing services within the CDMO and contract manufacturing space.
