Resilience has expanded its strategic manufacturing partnership with Eli Lilly and Company through a combined investment of $750 million to increase U.S. production of medicines at its Ohio operations. The expansion adds manufacturing of Lilly’s KwikPen injectable device for diabetes and obesity treatments to Resilience’s facilities in the Cincinnati region. Site preparation is underway, with full operations expected to begin in early 2027. The project will create at least 400 new high-skilled jobs, bringing the company’s total Ohio-created workforce to more than 1,400.
The partnership, which began in 2023, supports expanded domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing capacity. According to the companies, the multi-year agreement has already resulted in the production of more than 150 million doses of medicines for patients in the United States in vial and pre-filled syringe formats. The expansion further extends Resilience’s role as a CDMO providing contract manufacturing services for sterile injectable medicines and device assembly.

Resilience currently operates two manufacturing facilities in the Cincinnati region totaling nearly 1 million square feet and employing nearly 1,000 people across manufacturing, operations, quality, and regulatory functions. The company recently established Blue Ash, Ohio, as its global headquarters, while continuing to work with organizations including JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and Ohio Life Sciences to support workforce development.
State officials said the expansion reinforces Ohio’s position in pharmaceutical manufacturing. JobsOhio noted that investments in biomanufacturing training are helping prepare workers for careers with Resilience and other companies expanding operations in the state.
