SK pharmteco has announced a collaborative agreement with the Orphan Therapeutics Accelerator (OTXL), a non-profit organization focused on advancing stalled rare disease treatments. The partnership is intended to support the development of novel therapeutic programs and accelerate progress toward clinical and commercial milestones.
Under the agreement, SK pharmteco will serve as a preferred technical partner to OTXL through its Rare Disease Advancement Initiative. The company said it will provide technical capabilities designed to help advance OTXL’s pipeline while supporting programs addressing unmet medical needs.
The collaboration includes access to process development, analytical development, and GMP manufacturing and quality control release services. SK pharmteco will also provide OTXL with prioritized access and preferential rates for up to two therapeutic programs per year.

According to the companies, the agreement is intended to reduce manufacturing-related challenges during development and support the transition of rare disease programs toward clinical development and commercialization. The collaboration combines OTXL’s focus on rare disease therapies with SK pharmteco’s CDMO and contract manufacturing capabilities.
