WuXi Biologics has announced that it has achieved ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement certification, an internationally recognised standard designed to embed sustainability principles into procurement practices and promote transparency and accountability across supply chains.
The certification reflects WuXi Biologics’ approach to supplier lifecycle management, covering due diligence and admission, risk management, supplier engagement, performance review, and termination. According to the company, this framework ensures suppliers meet quality, compliance, and sustainability requirements throughout their partnerships, while supporting traceable supply chains and operational efficiency.
WuXi Biologics said sustainability is integrated into its broader supply chain strategy, with the company actively engaging suppliers as part of its climate and environmental initiatives. The organisation has adopted Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)-approved near-term and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets, which extend across its value chain.

It added that the ISO 20400 certification complements its broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) programme, under which it has received multiple sustainability ratings and recognitions from global assessment organisations.
