CordenPharma Partners with Viking Therapeutics for GLP-1 Drug Manufacturing

• CordenPharma has signed a strategic partnership with Viking Therapeutics for the development and manufacturing of VK2735, a GLP-1 drug candidate.

• The multi-year agreement covers the full supply chain, including drug substance, sterile injectable fill-finish, and oral peptide formulations.

CordenPharma, a global CDMO specializing in peptide-based drug manufacturing, has entered a strategic partnership with Viking Therapeutics, Inc. to support the development and production of Viking’s investigational GLP-1 drug candidate, VK2735. The agreement spans clinical and commercial supply, covering both subcutaneous and oral formulations of the Dual GLP-1/GIP Receptor Agonist.

Under the multi-year contract, CordenPharma will leverage its global manufacturing network to ensure an integrated supply chain, from peptide drug substance to final dosage forms. The company’s capabilities include large-scale peptide production, sterile injectable fill-finish, and oral solid dosage manufacturing, providing built-in redundancy across multiple sites to maintain an uninterrupted supply.
