OXB Signs Five-Year Licensing Agreement with VVMF for Viral Vector Platforms

COMPANY PROFILE
OXB
  • OXB has entered a five-year licensing and option agreement with VVMF, granting access to its inAAVate™ platform and potential use of its LentiVector™ platform.
  • The agreement supports VVMF’s efforts to expand viral vector manufacturing capabilities and positions Australia as a hub for cell and gene therapy production.

OXB has entered into a licensing and option agreement with Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility (VVMF), an Australian contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), to provide access to its proprietary viral vector platforms. The agreement follows a non-binding term sheet signed in October 2025 and establishes a five-year, worldwide, non-exclusive license for OXB’s inAAVate™ platform, with an option to extend to its LentiVector™ platform.

Under the terms of the agreement, OXB will receive a low single-digit million license fee and may receive additional payments tied to the use of its platforms. The collaboration is intended to support VVMF’s operational and commercial readiness in delivering viral vector development and contract manufacturing services.

The partnership is designed to enable VVMF to provide advanced viral vector technologies to customers, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The companies stated that the agreement supports the positioning of Australia as a regional hub for cell and gene therapy manufacturing, while extending OXB’s platform reach globally.

“This agreement is a strong endorsement of OXB’s position as a world-leading viral vector CDMO. It demonstrates the robustness and adaptability of our platforms, technologies, and quality systems, enabling other organisations to benefit from the high standards we’ve established in viral vector manufacturing.”

Dr Sébastien Ribault, Chief Business Officer of OXB

OXB said the agreement reflects growing international demand for viral vector development and manufacturing capabilities. Through this collaboration, the company aims to expand its CDMO footprint while supporting partners in building scalable and compliant manufacturing operations.
