- Piramal Pharma Solutions has announced a $90 million investment to expand its Lexington and Riverview sites in the United States.
- The expansion will enhance the company’s capabilities in sterile injectables and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) through its integrated CDMO offering, ADCelerate™.
Piramal Pharma Solutions, the CDMO arm of Piramal Pharma Ltd, has confirmed a $90 million investment to expand two of its key U.S. manufacturing sites. The initiative will increase capabilities at facilities in Lexington, Kentucky and Riverview, Michigan, strengthening its position in the sterile injectables and ADC markets.
The Lexington site, which specialises in sterile injectable drug products, will receive 24,000 square feet of new manufacturing space and state-of-the-art machinery. This includes a new filling line, two commercial-size lyophilizers, and a laboratory, with full completion expected by late 2027. The expansion is projected to more than double the site’s capacity from 104 to over 240 product batches per year.
At Riverview, the investment will add a commercial-scale suite for the development and manufacture of payload-linkers—critical components in ADC therapies. The suite is expected to be operational by the end of 2025. This site supports Piramal’s ADCelerate™ platform and high-potency API production.

Beyond manufacturing capabilities, the Lexington expansion is expected to create 40 new full-time jobs, supporting regional economic development and aligning with growing demand for U.S.-based contract manufacturing.
